Dr. Kurtz specializes in psychological assessment and evaluation. Originally from North Carolina, she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Davidson College before moving to South Carolina to pursue graduate training. She earned both her Master’s and Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of South Carolina and completed her pre-doctoral internship with Richland School District Two, where she delivered comprehensive psychological services to students.
At SouthernMED, Dr. Kurtz provides psychological evaluations for children and adolescents to identify conditions such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and anxiety. She is dedicated to conducting thorough, compassionate, and evidence-based assessments that help families better understand their child’s strengths and needs while guiding effective intervention and support.
Dr. Kurtz lives in Lexington, SC, with her husband, Seth, and their dog, Millie. Together, they enjoy walking Millie along the Old Mill Pond Trail, spending time with family on Lake Murray, and cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks!
