Dallas earned her psychology degree magna cum laude from Lander University and her Ed.S. in marriage, couples, and family therapy from the University of South Carolina. She has experience working with foster children, young people facing substance use, and parents. Dallas builds relationships and helps clients strengthen resilience, develop skills, and create healthier connections.

Bio and Work History

Dallas Thompson earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology magna cum laude from Lander University in 2018. She continued her education at the University of South Carolina, completing her Education Specialist degree in marriage, couples, and family therapy in 2020. Dallas is a Licensed Professional Counselor.

During graduate school, Dallas gained experience working with foster children and with adolescents and young adults experiencing drug and alcohol addiction. She also developed a particular interest in helping parents while leading and co-facilitating parenting groups during her internship. Dallas believes in each person’s individuality and resilience and helps clients develop skills that encourage healthier relationships.

Born and raised in Columbia, Dallas continues to call the area home and is raising her son there. She believes successful counseling begins with a positive therapeutic relationship and prioritizes building trust, listening to each client’s story, and understanding the experiences that have shaped their lives.
