Dr. Ashley Carter MD
Dr. Ashley is a Chapin native who dreamed of becoming a ballerina and spent many summers training in New York City. Her love of working with children ultimately inspired her to pursue pediatrics. She joined SouthernMED Pediatrics after completing residency in 2013 and now sees patients in Clemson. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband, two children, and Labrador puppy.

Bio and Work History
Dr. Ashley is a native of Chapin, South Carolina. Although she dreamed of becoming a ballerina and spent many summers training in New York City, her love of working with children ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in pediatrics.
Dr. Ashley joined SouthernMED Pediatrics after completing her residency in 2013. She currently sees patients at the Clemson office, which opened in November 2020, and enjoys building lasting relationships with children and families.
Outside of work, Dr. Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, Jacob; their two children, Brodie and Baylee; and their Labrador puppy, Banks.
