Dr. Luke Pruitt

Dr. Luke Pruitt was born and raised in Honea Path, South Carolina. After graduating from Belton-Honea Path High School, he attended the University of South Carolina graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and then received a master’s degree from Clemson University. In 1975 he went to the Medical University of South Carolina earning his Doctorate of Medicine and then pursued a residency in pediatric medicine at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Pruitt finished his residency in 1982 and has been a pediatrician for 34 years. He has practiced with Sandhills Pediatrics and Eau Claire Pediatrics, both for many years. He married his high school sweetheart, Teresa, and they have two sons and three grandchildren. He and his wife are active members of Lexington First Baptist Church, where he teaches Sunday School.
