Heidi Cochran FNP-C, IBCLC
Heidi earned her nursing degree from USC Upstate and gained 10 years of experience in neonatal intensive care. An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, she joined SouthernMED Pediatrics in 2018 and earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from South University in 2025. Outside of work, she enjoys life on her family farm with her husband and four sons.

Bio and Work History
Heidi earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2002. She spent 10 years as a neonatal intensive care nurse at Prisma Health Richland before working in the newborn nursery and postpartum unit. She became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2012 and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2014.
Heidi joined SouthernMED Pediatrics as a lactation consultant in 2018. To further serve mothers and babies, she returned to school and earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree with high honors from South University in 2025. She now serves families as both a pediatric provider and lactation consultant.
Heidi and her husband, Jarrett, have four sons and live on the Saluda farm where she grew up. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering for her sons at baseball games and serving in the children’s ministry at Mt. Horeb Methodist Church.
